Future Bankers and Financial Planners

The children recently completed our money unit and were rewarded by opening a classroom store to review all we learned. We practiced many life skills involving money;  making change, counting change back to the customer, calculating the cost of multiple items and finally staying within our budgets of $25.00.  We challenged ourselves and even
learned about "supply and demand" as our four store managers determined the cost of items that were low in supply. The children were highly engaged consumers and were able to calculate their spending efficiently and accurately.
Watch out E. F. Hutton...future financial planners are in the making!

Determining the cost of each item was fun!

Staying in our budget of $25.00 was a bit tricky, some of us had to make a return or two!
We LOVE to challenge ourselves!

Look at all we could buy with our $25.00.

We had so much fun adding and subtracting amounts to equal no more than $24.99 or less than $24.01.
