I officially began my "two week takeover" for my senior internship on Monday! I have been preparing for this role as the leading teacher throughout these past few months. Mrs. Madden is an amazing role model and has made this such an exciting and inspiring experience for me! I have developed a great rapport with the students and we have been off to a great start! On Monday, we began to learn about procedural text or "How to" writing. Together, the students have learned the necessary components required to make a proper "How to" writing piece. We have become quite knowledgeable chefs after learning how to make homemade pancakes and pizza this week! We have also been investigating in science and math to learn more about fractions and the Water Cycle. Look below to see some of the activities that the students and I completed!

| On Monday we began our science unit on the Water Cycle!! |

| On Tuesday, we practiced comparing fractions and made colorful fraction flip book to help us remember our parts and our whole!
In math, we started our unit on fractions. Students used their flip books to label, compare and even to add fractions this week!

| The students became serious scientists on Thursday and we performed an experiment with shaving and food coloring to model the stages of condensation and precipitation in the Water Cycle!
This upcoming week will be filled with even more experiments, activities, and exciting experiences...stay tuned!
